Introducing the center
Le Centre multimédia inclusif du CJARC est un cadre dédié à l’apprentissage et l’exploitation des technologies de l’information et de la communication accessibles aux personnes handicapées en général et aux personnes déficientes visuelles en particulier. Ce centre est situé à Yaoundé, Cameroun, précisément au siège du CJARC sis à Ekié chambre froide. Le bâtiment nommé CENI abrite le centre à son premier étage.
It's an accessible space, with state-of-the-art equipment and qualified staff, able to meet the many expectations of its target audience. The center's main aim is to promote digital access to information, culture and education for people with disabilities.
The various services in place each contribute to the realization of the center's slogan, which is to put digital technology at the heart of the social inclusion of disabled people.
The specialized computer training service enables disabled people to master the computer environment adapted to the type of disability.
The céciweb service enables visually impaired users to master the various aspects of Web navigation. They will be able to access all the information shared on the Internet according to their needs.
The Braille editing and transcription department is working to make various documents accessible to the visually impaired. These include textbooks and school documents, work reports, etc.
The sonothèque or sound library service represents a bank of audio information. It also provides access to information, education and culture.
The computer training service aims to equip beneficiaries with various office automation techniques. This service will promote the socio-professional integration of beneficiaries in general, and disabled people in particular.
