Presentation:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The specialized computer training service offers disabled people computer training adapted to their disability. This training can be either :<\/p>\n

    \n
  • A complete training program enabling disabled people to acquire a general knowledge of computing, to use a computer independently, as well as the majority of consumer\/specialized software, and to access the Internet. A complete training course can be taken individually or in groups of up to three people.<\/li>\n
  • A la carte training, where the learner is trained in the use of a particular software\/module. It can also involve reinforcing the learner's IT skills.<\/li>\n
  • Setting up and training in the use of mobile terminals (smart phones, tablets and others equipped with voice synthesis).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Specialized computer training is mainly carried out using specialized software and a Windows environment. It is based on a theoretical, auditory and tactile approach. At the end of the course, the learner is guaranteed autonomy in the use of a computer or mobile terminal.<\/p>\n

    Braille and audio course materials are available for the visually impaired.<\/p>\n

    Training modules:<\/u><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    Training modules provided by the specialized computer training department of the inclusive multimedia center <\/span> <\/span>comprennent les modules suivants :<\/span><\/p>\n

    Module 1 <\/u>: General notions of computing and the computer keyboard<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    Objective 1: To give the learner an overall idea of the history of computing, from its evolution to the consideration of the visually impaired.<\/span><\/i>Faire<\/span><\/i>connaitre \u00e0 l\u2019apprenant la structure d\u2019un ordinateur, ses  composants principaux <\/span><\/i>et les p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Objective 2: Enable the learner to learn how to type on a computer keyboard (105-key model). Know its function, and the role of the different keys.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Module 2<\/u> : Windows environment<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    Objective Understand and use the Windows environment (system, functions, utilities and accessories).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Module 3 <\/u>: Using basic software <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    v  <\/span><\/span>Microsoft Word<\/span><\/p>\n

    Objective: Learn the principles of word processing in Word, and quickly produce well-presented documents.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    v  <\/span><\/span>JAWS\/NVDA <\/span><\/p>\n

    Objective: Understand how JAWS\/NVDA screen review and its parameters work.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    v  <\/span><\/span>Other software<\/span><\/p>\n

    Objective: Learn about other accessibility software in the IT environment.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Module 4<\/u> : Internet<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    Objective: Introduce learners to Internet research and e-mail so that they can surf the Web independently.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
